MADAM MAYOR - BYNUM TALKS GENDER REPRESENTATION AND HOPES FOR 2020: As the new Montrose City Council mayor, Barbara Bynum hopes to provide a unique perspective and represent the diversity of Montrose. Bynum is currently the only female sitting council member as well as the youngest.

TWO HELD IN ALLEGED HEROIN-TRAFFICKING CASE: A lengthy, multi-agency investigation into suspected heroin trafficking in Montrose led to two arrests Tuesday.
During the investigation, local and federal agents seized a distribution-level amount of heroin, Montrose Police Cmdr. Matt Smith said.
