I get to meet some pretty cool people doing this job...
And last week, we took a look back at some of the influential locals that make our outdoors scene what it is.

With a new year kicking off, I thought it would be appropriate to focus our most recent Outdoors section on some of the coolest people and most helpful stories we covered last year, in case anyone needed some inspiration heading into 2025.

In the aritcle I talked about how New Years resolutions might look a little more fun out here, since we can add "Climb a 14er" or "Ski a double black diamond" to the list along with the usual goals.

So, after looking back on the most inspirational interviews I had last year, I figured I'd share a few of my own adventure goals for 2025. Some of them are measurable, as a good goal should be, but honestly a big one for me is to make the most of living here by just doing something cool as much as possible.

-Climb Uncompahgre, Sunshine and Redcloud.
-Snowboard a black diamond. (Possibly snowboad at Silverton, but that seems lofty for my skills)
-Ice climb at least a few times this season, including at the Lake City park.
-Spend a night at the San Juan Huts.
-Rock climb a 5.9 or above route.

Cheers,
Kylea From the newsroom
