Justin here with your newsletter. We're here chugging along through the week, bringing you the news. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to going camping this upcoming Memorial Day weekend. Stay well, and enjoy some of this nice Colorado weather!

New fishing opportunity nearby: Like fishing? It's the perfect time of year for it, so the timing was just right when Colorado Parks and Wildlife decided to stock Delta's Sweitzer Lake with bluegill and largemouth bass. Here's a picture of a pretty hefty bass ready to be tossed in. They took the fish from nearby habitats before transferring them.

Officer-involved shooting case: Paige Schmidt was left dead April 9 when a Delta County deputy shot her. The Delta County Sheriff's Office has been mum on the details. Well, the case went to the District Attorney Seth Ryan's desk last week for review. So we should be hearing soon what the DA's decision is, and we could potentially obtain any footage there may be of the incident around the same time.
