Not 'fur' sale?: Here's why some citizens are asking CPW to ban commercial fur sales

When Brenda Miller was growing up, she remembers friends trapping muskrats and selling the pelts for around $3 apiece in Grand Junction. 
"There used to be muskrats everywhere," she said, but she hardly sees them these days. 
Brenda, who serves as executive director of the Olathe-based Roubideau Rim Wildlife Rescue, believes poorly-regulated trapping is part of the reason. 
These days, she is among numerous citizens and groups across the state advocating for Colorado Parks and Wildlife to ban the commercial sale of wildlife fur in Colorado, an issue the group will discuss at its meeting March 4-5.

The Legend Returns: Todd Casebier steps out of retirement to lead Delta football

One of the winningest coaches in Colorado high school football history is coming out of retirement to lead the Delta Panthers.
The school announced recently that Todd Casebier, the longtime Montrose coach who also had successful stops at Palisade, Fruita Monument, Durango and Castle View, will lead the Panthers in the 2026 season.
