Good afternoon, Montrose!

Justin here, and I was lucky enough to be invited to The Forum this morning to present and talk about our local newspaper and all the exciting things happening. If you're a regular reader of this newsletter, then you've heard most of it.

But if you haven't heard about The Forum before, you might want to check it out at some point. For years, a group of locals who care about our community have given a platform to various community leaders, do-gooders, and people with something to say. The Forum takes place on Wednesdays at 8 a.m., so you have to wake up bright and early to catch it. But recently the City of Montrose has been nice enough to stream the hour-long presentations on their YouTube page. Check out some of the previous Forums.

Next week, they'll host the Montrose City Council candidates in what should be a very interesting hour.

We got some really welcomed snow yesterday and today. I was glad for once to walk out to my car and brush the stuff off. That being said, Lizard Head Pass closed today at 2 p.m. as a result of the storms and ensuing avalanche warnings. We're hoping the forecasts are right and the snow won't stop just yet.

If you haven't read about it yet, there was a wild police chase over the weekend that ended in one suspect getting away. In reading why they ran, one might be left scratching his head.

This again? Rumor has it future Hall-of-Famer Aaron Rodgers could be joining the Denver Broncos this offseason. If it sounds familiar, it's because the same gossip made its way around the NFL last season as the Broncos were considering trading for Rodgers. Well, now he's going to cost the Packers about $46 million in cap space if they keep him around. The Packers likely won't want to pay him that much, so the situation is ripe for a trade. It's giving Broncos fans hope, especially because it wasn't that long ago Peyton Manning joined the Broncos late in his career and gave them a Super Bowl. Could it happen again?
