It's been a hot- and quiet- couple days around here
With the 4th landing right in the middle of the week, it's been a quiet couple days in the newsroom. But after a plane crash, which thankfully everyone survived, sometimes a slow day is good.
But now we're back at it- not that we haven't been around these past few days if you needed us. The last two papers have had some awesome photos of the July 4th festivities, including some beautiful shots of the hot air balloons up in Delta.
This week, we've said good-bye to the Daily Bread Bakery and Cafe, which will close it's doors after almost 35 years. We'll also tell you all about how to get into river surfing for free in the next outdoors section, because my thermometer hit 90 today for I think the first time this summer, and a dip in the river sounds great right now.
As usual, if you know any great or new local businesses, or local artists, send their names our way so we can potentially feature them in our weekly special sections.
Cheers for now,
Kylea, Staff reporter
