Bringing a new sound to Telluride

Last weekend brought the rain many on the Western Slope have been waiting for- just as I was walking into Camp Alderwild, an outdoor music festival in Telluride.

It was planned as a one-time event, and despite
a Planet Bluegrass collaboration, brought a whole different sound to town: EDM.

The rain didn't stop the festival goers from attending two days of shows at Town Park and multiple more sponsored special events, like yoga workshops, late night concerts and even a few pool parties.

Of course, after weeks of 90-degree weather I was delighted to hear about a pool party in Telluride— only for the day to hit a balmy high around 65.

Oh well. I guess I still got to cool down.

And, it's pretty cool to hit a pool party with a ski lift in the background.

Cheers,
Kylea from the newsroom
