Lawsuit against BLM:
William Perry Pendley was serving illegally as the Bureau of Land Management's acting director when the agency's updated resource management plan for the Montrose area was approved, thus, the plan should be voided, the Colorado Attorney General's Office contends in a lawsuit.
The suit, filed Friday, also alleges the plan's approval was at odds with state programs and policies designed to protect big game and sage-grouse and largely ignored the state's concerns despite assurances these would be addressed. As a result, both wildlife and the state's multi-billion-dollar economy are harmed, the complaint indicates.

Supporting Olathe students: Outdoor learning spaces will soon be a reality at Olathe Middle/High School and Olathe Elementary Schools thanks to a $15,000 grant through The Colorado Trust.
The team from Making Olathe Better (M.O.B.) took the lead on the grant application process, which was non-competitive once M.O.B. leaders and school leaders identified a challenge to support students' educational needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nothing Day: Are you tired of celebrating a holiday every day? Do you need a break? National Nothing Day, celebrated Jan. 16 recognizes that, most of the time.
The observance was created as a day to provide Americans with one National Day when they can just sit without celebrating, observing or honoring anything.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day falls on the third Monday of January which means that one-in-seven January 16th's will fall on the same day as Nothing Day, effectively usurping the nature of Nothing Day.
