New shops: It's no secret the downtown area in Montrose experienced a significant lull shortly after the pandemic forced heavy restrictions on businesses in the community, as well as those around Colorado.

Writing longhand:
Technology has made the ease of communication quicker, but there is something to be said about grabbing a pen and paper to write something down.
Today is National Handwriting Day which celebrates pen and paper by encouraging us to write out our thoughts. January 23 was selected in honor of John Hancock's birthday and his bold signature that is so recognizable.
