Liquor license fee waivers: Local businesses that hold a liquor license or entrepreneurs in pursuit of a liquor license are receiving some support through Senate Bill 20B-001, signed into law by Gov. Jared Polis last month.
Of the $57 million from the bill, more than $1.891 million was allocated to the Department of Revenue, intended to offset the department's waiver of certain liquor license fees.

Food drive: Nearly one in three Coloradans struggle with hunger and food insecurity according to a COVID Food Insecurity Survey by Hunger Free Colorado in September 2020.
While the holiday season has come to an end and the new year has begun, that doesn't mean the need for community support has lessened. Fortunately, a local organization is partnering with a nonprofit to help people who are experiencing food insecurity.

Contested election: On Jan. 6, 2001, Congress certified George W. Bush the winner of the 2000 elections, which was one of the closest presidential elections in U.S. history. Bush was declared the winner after more than five weeks due to disputed Florida ballots.
Here's a list of other contested elections in US history.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump continues his fight about the 2020 election results as the Senate and House formalize Joseph Biden's Electoral College victory.
