It's gettin spooky out here!

Whether you're taking the kiddos trick-or-treating, taking yourself out for a night on the town or treating yourself to some candy while watching a spooky movie, there aren't many days that are just plain fun like Halloween.

It gives us a chance to play dress up long into adulthood, as well as an excuse to binge on a little bit of candy and indulge in some spooky activites.

This year, you don't have to look far to find Halloween activities in Montrose, no matter how you like to clebrat the holiday.

From Thursday to Saturday, the All Hallows Festival run by the Darling Dames promises a three-day haunted house, pumpkin carving contest Friday and, on Saturday, a big festival with multiple vendors culminating in the Witches Parade.

Also Saturday night (which we incorrectly billed as Friday night in our print edition) the recently-renamed San Juan Brews will host the Hometown Halloween Hoedown, with costumes encouraged and music by The Black Canyon Boys and Coral Skye.

All week, Fox Theater is playing spooky films, and the Montrose Historical Society is hosting multiple ghost tours around town.

So , no matter what your cup of tea
(or favorite candy), there's probably something for you in town this weekend.

Cheers,
Kylea Henseler
