Charlie Brown returns, MDP office closure and COVID-19 overflow | From the Newsroom

OFFICE CLOSURE: The Montrose Daily Press office will be closed to the public in response to a surge in COVID-19 cases in Montrose County and the state of Colorado starting Monday, Nov. 23.
Customer service representatives will still be available by phone at 970-249-3444.

ImageWAH, WAH, WAH: If you're bummed you missed out on "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" after the Peanuts holiday specials moved to Apple TV+, you're still going to miss out this year, here's some good news for the turkey day and Christmas specials: PBS plans to air them. Apple – after creating a ruckus – teamed up with PBS to air ad-free broadcasts of "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, this Sunday, and "A Charlie Brown Christmas," on Dec. 13. PBS reported Sunday's broadcast will be at 6 p.m.

Catanese has left the ICU, his parents confirmed, and started therapy. Depending on how recovery goes, it's possible Catanese can return to school next spring, something that seemed unlikely during his initial assessment.
