Well, we did it, we made it past Election Day, but unfortunately, it's not over yet. All but two house district seats have been called by the Associated Press. Of those two seats, only one was predicted to reach battleground results (District 8). The other was assumed to be a safe and easy win for the incumbent. Obviously, I'm talking about our district (CD3). Challenger Adam Frisch surprised everyone last night when he pulled ahead of Rep. Lauren Boebert's initial lead around 8 p.m. He gained quite a bit of traction for much of the evening, but now the opponents are quite literally tied as of 5:50 p.m. today. (Frisch with 155,579 votes to Boebert's 155,506 votes, according to the Sec. of State count). Tomorrow, we'll talk a bit more about the 11 amendments we voted for or against. All but two have been called (125 and 126) by the Associated Press.
In the meantime, remember to take a break from your screen. It's easy to amp up the stress and get lost in the political angst surrounding an election! Breathe, loosen your shoulders and do something relaxing if you can.
Have a great evening, Montrose!
