IT WAS A LITTLE SMOKY YESTERDAY
in Montrose, but the haze isn't coming from any new fires nearby — it's blowing over from other wildfires in Utah and California. Places up north are also seeing large amounts of smoke as a result of the Cameron Peak wildfire after it saw major growth on Monday.
You can keep track of nearby air quality monitor readings here. Above is a screenshot of the statewide smoke and monitor readings as of 10:13 a.m.
The cooler weather, with a bit of wind and rain, should hopefully help clear out some of the smoke today. Keep in mind that the National Weather Service has an air quality alert in place until 4 p.m.

THE MONTROSE POTATO GROWERS' ASSOCIATION BUILDING is the most recent addition to the National Register of Historic Places and the Colorado State Register of Historic Properties. It was designated as a historic property by the City of Montrose last year, and received funds to help restore it to its original look in the early 1900s.

POPPYCOCK!
The age-old "cat person" vs. "dog person" debate has been discussed by the Second Chance Humane Society's Animal Resource Center, who determined all of it to be poppycock.
"How about you all just remove the boxes and let each other just be people with varying interests and characteristics who may or may not like pets. Does it all have to mean something or can you just celebrate each other's differences and uniqueness? Maybe just be who you are and let others do the same."
