NASA ASTEROID TO PASS BY EARTH: Asteroid 2020 SW is the size of a school bus and it's going to travel past Earth. NASA says it will zoom past Earth on Thursday, Sept. 24 well below many satellites orbiting the planet. The asteroid is roughly 15 to 30 feet wide and will be the closest to Earth on Sept. 24. This small near-Earth asteroid (or NEA) will pass us at a distance of about 13,000 miles above our planet's surface, NASA said.
