Killer Company's

My blog will allow everyone to know what all the body care companies are doing to us. What I mean by this is that you can learn what is in your body care products and what it does to your body. Is the cheap price or status of having these things worth the risk of ruining your health. I know a product line that does not carry any of the harmful or hazardous ingredients if you are interested comment and I'll email you more information.

Hey everyone! You're probably wondering what day and time MHS football will host its home playoff game next week.

No date and time have been set yet and that's largely because those details are pending the outcome between Mesa Ridge and Denver South, who play this Friday at 7 p.m.

Here's the latest:

- If Mesa Ridge wins, the game is likely to be played Friday, Nov. 12. Both teams prefer Friday over Saturday, Nov. 13.

- If Denver South wins, it's a but murkier, but South is likely waiting to see the outcome of tomorrow night's game.

- In the case that Montrose and the opposing school can't agree on a specific time and date, the default start time is Saturday, 1 p.m.

We'll know more after Friday's outcome and will let you know when we hear more.

For now, let's get into all things Montrose.

Recount in school board race? Late Tuesday night, in the District F race, Eric Kelley led Dawn Schieldt by only 18 votes, according to preliminary results.

Is a recount possible? Yes, but there's more to it. Read Anna Lynn's breakdown of the path to a potential recount.

Alice Murphy and Sarah Fishering have much wider leads in Districts C and E, respectively.

Cases surging: According to The New York Times, Montrose County has the 11th highest rate of cases in the nation.

Six people have died at the hospital of COVID since Oct. 29 in Montrose County, according to Montrose Regional Health spokesperson.

Cases are higher than they've ever been in Montrose, according to data from the CDC and CDPHE.

Check out this thread from Anna Lynn where she breaks down the numbers.

If you missed it, read the latest COVID report from Cassie Knust here.

Quick update: Bank of the West announced plans to reopen Tuesday, Nov. 9. The bank previously said it would reopen Friday, Nov. 5.

"We encourage customers to bank remotely, whenever possible, during this time," Executive Vice President of the Rocky Mountain Region Shawn Cole said.

Quick local sports hits:

- MHS football is ranked No. 1 in the 4A state playoff bracket.

- OHS volleyball is headed to Rye for regionals this weekend. The Pirates are ranked No. 29 and will play Rye at 11 a.m.
