Podcast recommendation: With the recent landmark decisions made by the Supreme Court, I've decided to tune out all of the emotional rhetoric from the Left and the Right. I'm doing my own research. I discovered a very good podcast called Amarica's Constitution with Akhil Amar. Amar is a Sterling Professor at Yale University where he teaches law. Amar labels himself a political liberal and a constitutional originalist. Surprisingly as a liberal he agrees with the recent court rulings and does a very good job of explaining why. You can find him at this link.

In case you missed it: Last Saturday's Montrose Daily Press edition included a column I wrote speaking of the Dobbs decision and also concerning those who believe we should only publish columns that agree with their own views. I believe we can learn just as much by engaging with dissenting opinions. Check it out here. Let me know what your thoughts on both subjects.

Way back when ... on this date in 1941, Cleveland, Ohio recorded it's hottest day on record at 103 degrees. Today the temperature is 79. It is cloudy and rainy though.
