Solar farm approved!

Delta County Commissioners voted today to approve the solar farm proposed by Guzman Energy and DMEA that will be just outside of Delta. The commissioners were satisfied with changes that were made to the plan including a $1.3 million irrigation system. Of course there were objections from neighbors amid concerns of lower property values. One comment I read on social media blamed the "Inflation Reduction" act signed by President Biden today. That's a quick turnaround. Seriously though the two are unrelated. The vote was 3-0 in favor of the project. Follow the Montrose Daily Press for the full story.

I'll weigh in on the Wyoming Primary that commences tonight. It's a foregone conclusion that Rep. Cheney will lose her primary. It's too bad for Wyoming but the pundits believe she has other political aspirations. Win or lose, agree with her position on former President Trump or not, she held to her convictions even though she knew what the result would be. That is something to be admired. Follow the election here.

Where does Colorado rank in foreclosure rates?
Colorado ranks 22nd in home units in foreclosure. With a ratio of 1 per 1,073 homes. The median value is $369,900.
Here's the story from the Center Square.
