We're three weeks away from the election.

Does Adam Frisch stand a chance against Lauren Boebert?

It would appear that Frisch is gaining ground on the incumbent Lauren Boebert for CO House District 3. The Times of Israel on Oct 6, after a poll was released that showed Frisch who is Jewish within two points of Boebert, published a story on the race.

Republican State Senator Don Coram's endorsements of Democrats Frisch and Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser caused quite the stir. We're following up on word that the Montrose County Republican Central Committee voted to censure Coram. Coram who will be out of office come next session lost his seat after state redistricting.

Coram reminds me of the late Arizona Sen. John McCain. A maverick who voted his conscience and not along party lines.
Here's Coram's op-ed explaining his position for his endorsement of the two Democrats.

His op-ed is the number one article read on montrosepress.com. My op-ed on a deeper dive into Boebert's blackmail claims of Frisch is number two. It's made the rounds in the Facebook comments on both candidates' posts.

Deep breaths everyone... we're only three weeks away from the election.

Chow Down is Halloween decorated in style!

Here are some photos I shot at Chow Down Pet Supplies at lunch today. They went all out again this year for decorations. Check them out at 535 S. 1st in Montrose, our old Montrose Daily Press stomping grounds. They did a tremendous job with the remodel too.

On a sad note.

Last week, as reported in the Montrose Daily Press and the Delta County Independent, Delta County lost two students to an automobile accident in the North Fork area.

During the Delta County 5th & 6th grade Championship Football game I had the sad task of leading players, coaches and fans in a moment of silence for Alexi Armendarez (Delta) and Eddie Carrillo (Hotchkiss).
The teams met on the field and released balloons to honor the two victims.

The Delta Jaguars defeated the North Fork Miners in a game that distracted all from their grief for about an hour and a half. This Saturday at Panther Stadium in Delta the Jaguars will play the Montrose Savages at 1pm in what is dubbed the Montrose Youth Football Superbowl.

Alexi's little brother Jaxton played in the game for the Jaguars. On the back of his helmet he had a special message for his sister. As they say...there wasn't a dry eye in the stadium.
