It just keeps getting icier
I landed in Montrose less than 24 hours ago, and it already feels like I never left.

We're still writing about wolves, cheering on our local high school teams and getting back on the street to talk to the owners of Montrose's newest small businesses.

Over the next few weeks and months, we're also hoping to channel some of that winter-in-the-mountains energy to our outdoors page, as there's plenty of cool stuff on the horizon.

All In Ice Festival, the first Ouray's two ice festivals held at the Ice Park, kicks off tomorrow. And between the big Ice Fest later this month and news of the park recieving a notable land donation, we're hoping to get our readers in the loop on all things ice.

And speaking of ice, I learned today that my favorite ice cream made by an ice climber, Ouray's Brown Chicken Brown Cow, will be available later this month at Montrose's newest candy shop, Cannonball.

I got in there today to talk to owner Cannon, who said kids love seeing all the fun and unique candy at his shop while adults and older folks love the nostalgic retro options, like candy cigarettes.

But I'll save that for next week's business section, so cheers for now!
