Happy New Year!

Hello again, Montrose and surrounding environs! I've been out — little thing called vacation — and am working through a case of the Mondays. It's all right, though — I've got good memories of good times to get me through.

One of those memories: a birthday trip to the Denver Downtown Aquarium. If you've not been, it's worth a look — heck, there are even Sumatran tigers on premise. They were hiding when my mother and I strolled by, but soon, we spotted one taking a nap at the top of his habitat "cliff." Watching the reaction of a visitor from Boston — who apparently only wanted to see the tigers — was almost as fun as seeing the cats.

And that brings me to my overall resolution for one and all: Have fun more often! It needn't be a trip to Denver. It needn't be grand. Just something you enjoy.

— Katharhynn, from the Newsroom
