Happy Easter Weekend!

And if you don't celebrate Easter, have a lovely spring weekend!

The Ice Park is closed, the mountains are running their chairlifts for a few more weeks and the local mountain bike associations are getting ready to open the trails.

Spring has sprung!

Plenty of local churches and religious groups will be holding events this weekend, and if you're not sure where to go, check out today's paper.

I'm out of town, but if I was here I'd spend my Sunday at Powderhorn, where one of the green slopes will be decked out with eggs filled with candy and toys for the youngest skiers and riders to find.

However, and if, you celebrate, have a great Easter and an awesome weekend!

Cheers,

Kylea

Let's go Montrose! and Olathe!

After a few weeks between seasons, spring sports are in full swing! Last week, In the meantime, our sports pages haven't been empty because we've gotten to highlight a handful of students from Montrose and Olathe that have signed on to play at the next level.

About a week ago, I sat down with MHS Athletic Director Bradd Schafer, who started about a year ago. We were chatting about his first year and goals for our annual Outlook issue, which is coming soon.

Schafer was incredibly proud of how well all of Montrose's teams have done this year, and Olathe's have been killing it too.

Heading into the season he said there will be a sporting event to watch in Montrose County just about every night for the rest of the school year- so make sure to check out our "Go!" pages to keep up.

Cheers,

Kylea
