I'm back! After a year away, I'm thrilled to return to the Montrose Daily Press in a more digital/audio role. Take a cosmic safari at our local library(Photo by Dark Skies Paonia) Don't miss out on the Planetarium Show happening at the Montrose Regional Library Story Hour Room. Swing by 320 S. Second St. on Saturday, March 30, between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to register with a Youth Services librarian for a 20-minute cosmic adventure. Note: Inside the dome will be loud, dark, warm, and people will be sitting close together. *Plan ahead for the April 8 eclipse by picking up a pair or two of free solar eclipse glasses in the Youth Services Department, provided by SEAL (Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries).
Awkward Easter pictures and bar hopGrab your family & friends for free photos with the Unhinged Easter Bunny tonight at Mosaic 5-7 p.m.! Dress in your Sunday "Best" (80's/90's Easter dresses, funky ties, jackets, vests, etc) or check out the art/boutique gallery's selection in store. For the adults, hop around to Ray's Corner Cafe, Sidelines Sports Bar, Pomona Brewing Company and Storm King Distilling for drink specials! Magic Circle Players theater performs "Noises Off," a farcical comedy For our local theater enthusiasts, get ready for a night of hilarity with "Noises Off," a farcical comedy hitting the stage at Magic Circle Theatre this weekend. Join Mary Menz and Jim Pisarowicz for an hour of beautiful wildflowers on the big screen, including many used by the Ute people. 10 a.m. - Save the Dolores - Halt the Monument presentation at Montrose County Fairgrounds, 1001 N. Second St. 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Harvesting Hope: A Recovery Community Garden Build at 617 N. Sixth St., Montrose. Join Advocates for Recovery for a day of constructing raised garden beds with flowers, herbs and vegetables; installing pathways and utilities. Hillcrest Drive, Montrose. 6:30 p.m. (and Sunday @ 3pm) - The Valley Symphony Association (VSA) presents, "Heaven & Bluegrass: Singing the Sacred," at the Montrose Pavilion, 1800 Pavilion Drive. 7 p.m. - Mama Lingua live at the Candle Factory, Bluecorn Cafe & Mercantile, 1842 S.
