It's the time of year for beer And fall foliage, pumpkins, halloween decorations, pumpkin spice (of course) etc. And football, but I don't really wtch that unless the Patriots make the Super Bowl. It's also the perfect time to kick back with a nice cold one. For the next two weekends, two festivals wil be highlighting local and not-so-local brewers and producers in the Valley. This Saturday, Southwest Fresh Fest at Billy Goat Hop Farm will run from 2-6 p.m. The festival is unique, because, as a producer of hops, Billy Goat is bringing in around 15 brewers from around the Southwest who'v mixed up custom batches of beer with fresh hops from this year's harvest. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door for drinking adults, and the festival will also feature live music and food trucks. The following Saturday, Sept. 28, Oktoberfest will return from 1-5 p.m. at the Rotary Ampitheater. Tickets are $40 (or $50 at the gate) and include unlimited beer, live music, food tucks, and party games and contests.
Both festivals are set to feature local Western Slope brewers, as well as brews from around the region. So, if you're around, it's worth stopping by! Southwest Fresh Fest Tickets Oktoberfest TicketsOktoberfest Tickets Cheers (literally), Kylea from the newsroom QUICK LINKS |
