What's happening, Montrose?

Image

Hi folks,

We're starting to feel that little shift in the air that signals the end of summer:

High school sports are on fire right now (shout out to Montrose Red Hawks football, soccer and volleyball teams for dominating their seasons already)!

Montrose streets, particularly near Riverbottom and Cerise, have been more packed than usual lately, and while it may be tempting to groan about the increased traffic - it does my heart good to see our community connecting.

Halloween and the spooky season are starting to crop up in stores and on our calendars (Sorry, I am that annoying person who will fully embrace Fall the moment August hits!)

In other words, it's about to get busy. So here's your friendly reminder to embrace those exciting seasons, but to also take time for yourself. After all, we're not only entering the holiday season, we're also contending with 24/7 election updates all around us.

I don't know about you, but as a news junkie myself, even I need to disconnect from time to time! And there's plenty of ways to do that this weekend if you're scratching your head and wondering how to spend your days off.

As always, email us at editor@montrosepress.com or me directly at cassie.knust@montrosepress.com for business/arts news tips, or calendar inquiries. We'll even add your event to this newsletter!

Cheers for now,

- Cassie
