What's happening, Montrose?

Image

Hi and hello,

Not that you need reminding, but the weekend is almost here. You probably already know whether you're going to kick your feet up or kick the dust up.

Well, there's no shortage of things to do! It is a jam-packed weekend, and it sounds like one for the books - whether you're looking for slow or fast-paced! Maybe you want to pull out your golf clubs for a golf scramble, or spend a couple evenings under the stars.

Are you a local history enthusiast? The Montrose County Historical Museum is touring the Historical Cedar Creek Cemetery, where you can learn more about the history of residents buried there.

You know what else sounds fun? Pulling out your favorite outfit from your favorite decade, and dancing your heart out. You're never too cool to break out those bell-bottoms and platforms!

There's live music galore, from the Valley Symphony Orchestra's classical strings with "Sounds of Summer" to Panic Stricken playing tribute to rock band Widespread Panic.

And of course, you don't want to miss the final Montrose Summer Music Series concert with headliner Honey Island Swamp Band. Locals Crazy Like a Fox are opening.

Get your calendars ready, and let's start planning! Here's what we have happening this week.
