MHS reschedules graduation due to expected weather; Ceremony moved to the morning

Montrose High School's graduation ceremony has been rescheduled due to expected inclement weather conditions Sunday afternoon. The graduation ceremony will now take place at 8:30 a.m. The ceremony will still be held in the stadium outside the high school.

Crank up the electricity: MUT's first High Voltage Hustle bike race is Saturday

Electricity will be in the air on Saturday, May 17 as racers line up for the first High Voltage Hustle mountain bike race at Electric Hills.

The race, hosted by the Montrose Uncompahgre Trails (MUT) chapter of the Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association, will give riders in various categories the opportunity to complete a scenic, intermediate-to-advanced course at Montrose's newest trail system: Electric Hills.

"Electric Hills was built with racing in mind," said MUT's Tyler Smith. "It has long been a vision for MUT and COPMOBA to bring a race to the Montrose area."
