Game on — Red Hawks push toward end of season ...

Now that spring break is over, local high school athletes are giving it their all on the path toward state competitions.

Some teams — like the MHS baseball and lacrosse teams — are struggling, while other teams like the Red Hawks track and field team are pacing themselves towards an inevitable showdown with their counterparts from across the state.
Some individual athletes are also demanding attention in the post-spring break period. Montrose's Ellie Dunan is apparently locking in, and Caleb Ferguson — having already wrapped a basketball season during which he scored his 1000th point — is celebrating his signing with the Wartburg College Knights in Iowa.

Keep up with all the spring season sports Wednesday and Saturday in print and online everyday at montrosepress.com
