Coming together around the keg: Four breweries unite for one-of-a-kind Montrose brew If it's possible to bottle up the culture of a city, or more accurately to brew it in a keg, then four local breweries are now offering a taste of Montrose this summer — and maybe beyond. Last month, bartenders at Shelter Distilling poured the first pints (in commemorative glasses) of Montrose United Pale Ale, a collaboration between Shelter, Horsefly Brewing Company, Silver Basin Brewing and Colorado Boy Montrose. Read More An electric election: Nine compete for DMEA board spots November may be long gone, but the Uncompahgre Valley is in the midst of a more electric election season as nine candidates vie for three positions on the Delta Montrose Electric Association's Board of Directors.The election lasts until June 12, and residents of the districts for which seats are up for grabs can drop off their ballots at their local DMEA office or vote at the annual meeting June 12 at 4:30 p.m. at the Hotchkiss K-8 School.
