A sneak peek at tomorrow's print edition …

In tomorrow's print edition of the Montrose Daily Press, you can read about the city of Montrose's efforts to offer childcare to employees; as well as about a program being rolled out by the police department that's designed to connect with the community as well as about next week's Bike to Work day and next weekend's Black Canyon Triathlon.

Also in this weekend's paper, you can catch up on local sports. About a month into the fall season, and it looks like MHS football, soccer and volleyball are having some good runs.

'Another fall and another set of beer festivals': Three beer (and more) events return starting Saturday

Locals who prefer their beer, wine and cider brewed just down the street, or maybe a few towns over, will have plenty of chances to sample Western Slope adult beverages over the next few weeks, as three beer (and more) festivals are going down back to back to back.
The first, Southwest Fresh Fest at Montrose's Billy Goat Hop Farm, will offer a chance to taste fresh hop beers Sept. 20, while the following Saturday, Sept. 27, Montrose Oktoberfest will celebrate its 20th Anniversary at the Rotary Amphitheater.
