A sneak peek at tomorrow's print edition …

In tomorrow's print edition of the Montrose Daily Press, you can read about this past weekend's No Kings protest, which drew a couple thousand people downtown to Centennial Plaza; and also about Montrose County's slapdash three-day county manager search, which Commissioner Sue Hansen has pointed out seems backward engineered to preclude any candidates but interim county manager David White; and you'll also read about the two candidates seeking the District A seat on the MCSD school board.

MHS closes out regular soccer season this week on heels of 5-0 win over Palisade; Postseason play begins Oct. 27

The games against the Rams and the Demons this week could help the Red Hawks, especially with wins, considering that both opponents are ranked in the top 20 of their respective classification's Seeding Index"They're both quality opponents and we're going to have to bring our A game when we play those teams," Coach Snyder said. "If we can play together like we have a lot this season, I think good things are going to happen for us."
After the conclusion of the regular season this week, CHSAA will seed the 32-team bracket for the Class 4A state tournament with postseason play beginning the week of Oct. 27.
