Graff & Crane will represent Montrose at state cross country competition

Josiah Graff, the sophomore standout for the Red Hawks, is headed to Colorado Springs next week after punching his ticket to the state meet. He finished 13th at the Class 4A Region 1 meet Oct. 3 with a time of 17 minutes, 6.10 seconds. Millie Crane heads back to the state meet as she finished 14th in the region with a time of 20:43.10.

'This season was a blast': MHS MTB closes Director Chris Brown's final season with a 3rd place division finish

The Montrose High School Mountain Bike program has grown from a handful of students to a 45-athlete powerhouse in the eight years since Director Chris Brown has been part of the leadership team.

This year, the team wrapped up the four-race regular season with a 3rd place overall finish in the Division 1 series and had 24 qualifiers for the state race last weekend.

"That's a pretty big deal," Brown said.
