A sneak peek at tomorrow's print edition …

In tomorrow's print edition of the Montrose Daily Press you can read about how the Montrose United Methodist Church is incurring probation and fines due to it offering a camping space for the area's unhoused community; and you can also learn about how Telluride Ski Resort and its ski patrollers appear to be at an impasse over contract negotiations — leaving some serious questions about the upcoming ski season, which is slated to begin Dec. 6 in Telluride; and you'll also read about last week's West Slope Water Summit, held here locally.

Telluride Ski Patrol doesn't want to strike. But as contract negotiations with Telski go down to the wire — literally, with the deadline falling on Dec. 6, the ski season's opening day — Telluride Professional Ski Patrol Association President Graham Hoffman says a strike may be brewing.

"Our plan is to come to a contract, but at the same time, their plan is to line up scabs," Hoffman said. "They seem to be preparing an alternate reality without us."
