OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

It's been a long road, but our historic courthouse is back open — and better than ever!. The grand (re)opening drew quite the crowd this morning.

The last time I was in the courthouse building on South First, the two top floors were not accessible to the public. I've had a few tours, showing dust, decay - but not enough, despite the years of disuse, to hide the historic beauty.

Today, we all got free run of the place, and the top two tiers are not only accessible, but also stunning. Stryker & Co., along with Montrose County and many partners, have done the town proud with this one. Check it out!
