Northern lights on the Western Slope …

Last night, the skies of the Western Slope glowed green and red, bathed in the northern lights. According to Art Trevena, of the Black Canyon Astronomical Society, it was the most spectacular aurora borealis he's seen: "You could see these curtains and pillars, extending up into the sky and the red, the dusky red color was pretty impressive."

'Pure celebration of nature' City Hall muralist Seth Weber captures the highs and lows of life and landscape

For Paonia-based muralist Seth Weber, art is both a livelihood and a means of changing lives; the embodiment of a dream and a struggle. It's a family tradition— and mindset he wants to pass on to his own kids.

Even if you haven't heard Weber's name yet, you've probably seen his work. It would be hard to miss for anyone who's strolled downtown recently, as Weber's latest project is literally popping off the walls of Montrose City Hall.
