RIBBON CUTTING: After a multi-staged and multi-year renovation project, the Olathe Middle/High School administration is welcoming the community to tour the newly renovated facility Friday, Oct. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. for the ribbon cutting ceremony of Wilson Field. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 6:10 p.m. in front of the home stands.
The public is asked to wear a face covering and social distance while at the stadium.

METH STASHED IN RADIO: Delta police on Wednesday seized multiple grams of suspected methamphetamine stashed throughout a West Fifth Street residence, as well as suspected heroin, a large amount of cash, a gun and digital scales.
Kyle Beveridge, 34 — who reportedly told investigators the nearly 80 grams of meth and 3.3 grams of heroin they found was for his personal use — was arrested at the scene and detained on suspicion of unlawful distribution of drugs, drug possession and possession of a weapon by a previous offender. He is also accused as a special offender, a first-class drug felony.
Formal charges are pending.


THE NODDING LADY: If you watched the Trump town hall on NBC last night you simply couldn't miss the woman dubbed "The Nodding Lady" — she sat behind the president on the right of your screen in a red face mask. The competing Biden and Trump town halls were billed as having audiences of "undecided voters." The Nodding Lady pretty much unmasked that myth. And the Dems lost some ground with that assertion, too. Ah, politics...
