HOURS-LONG BARRICADE: Neither breaking down the door nor using a police K-9 encouraged a suspect to come out of the Delta apartment where he had barricaded himself Friday afternoon, officers on scene said.
Justin Ritter was arrested after the Mesa County Sheriff's Office SWAT team was called in and shot tear gas into the apartment.

COVID-19 cases in Colorado are trending upward and Gov. Jared Polis is concerned for what that could mean for Coloradans and the economy if it continues. On Friday, Colorado set a new high for COVID-19 positive cases at 1,312, the governor said. There are currently 352 hospitalizations.
