Back in business: Heading into 2020, the thought of opening up a brick-and-mortar wasn't on the mind of Leanna and Jordan Johnson, Montrose-based artists and entrepreneurs. Having been in the retail industry for four years, setting up shop at festivals, fairs and markets in Colorado beyond Montrose, the two were primed for a year like any other.
The pandemic, as experienced in other industries, halted those plans. Then they decided to open up Mosaic on 21 N. Cascade Ave. in downtown Montrose.

PBS highlights Capitol Christmas tree: National T.V. series for public television America's Forests with Chuck Leavell returns to Colorado to celebrate a very merry U.S. Capitol Christmas.
During this special episode, Leavell travels to the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forests to follow the journey of the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree.

Santa goes virtual: This year's Santa season looks different, but it doesn't mean the kids can't receive a little visit from Kris Kringle and his friends. Jingle Ring is a live, virtual visit from Santa done over the computer. Families can listen to a story from Santa and can feed Santa some details before the video call, like what a child wants for Christmas or all about the test they aced for class. Jingle Ring has different language options, including sign language, a diverse offering of performers and sensitive Santas for children with special needs. It starts at $24.99 and you don't have to install or download anything. You can learn more at www.jinglering.com.
