A SHOW IN THE STARS: The time has arrived and now all we have to hope for is clear skies this evening. The "Great Conjunction" between Jupiter and Saturn is tonight. While the two planets will appear close together in the sky, they will actually be 403 million miles apart. Google even got in on the celebration with this graphic of the Winter Solstice.

SHOOTING REPORTED: Calls that a woman had possibly been shot brought a heavy police response to Shavano Valley Road Saturday morning.
Montrose County Sheriff's Office Lt. Ty Cox said deputies and emergency medical services found a woman at the scene who required transport to the hospital, but could not say more about her condition. A news release issued a short time later said the woman had a gunshot wound.
