From the streets to the slopes
If you've been reading the paper or getting our newsletters this week, you might have noticed the advertisement for 5 Point Adventure Film Festival on the Road. After spending plenty of time attending and covering lots of local cultural events, MDP Events is hosting our own!

5 Point Adventure Film Festival is an annual festival in Carbondale that features curated outdoor films focused on the pillars of purpose, respect, commitment, humility and balance.

Each year, the show goes "On the Road" to bring some of the best short adventure films to audiences around the country, including Montrose through a collaboration with our new MDP Events division.

Next Saturday, we'll host our first event showing a handful of super cool short films with beautiful cinematography and themes that will make you think, feel and get inspired.

One touching films looks at a woman's journey rock climbing through a miscarriage and pregnancy, while another follows a Black running group that rose up to run together through the historic streets of Charlottesville, Virginia- the same city where the "Unite the Right" rally led to the death of protesters in 2017.

Plenty of other films follow anglers, bikers, skiers and more with breathtaking camera work as they take on the world.

So, if you're looking for plans for next Saturday night, stop by the Temple Events and check it out!
Cheers,
Kylea
