A Monday reminder

Good evening, Montrose!

Tomorrow, you might notice that a print edition will not be in your mailbox. That is because we have now switched to in-print twice a week, with a more robust newspaper coming your way Wednesdays and Thursdays! (And we're always online!)

We have not gone anywhere — and we are not going anywhere — we are just retooling the way we do things. You can read all about the changes here, in a column from our publisher Dennis Anderson.

Coming up Wednesday, you can expect the full details of an adrenaline-stuffed film festival we and Montrose Regional Health are sponsoring this weekend, plus the skinny on multiple other events; county news; court news; sports — and more!

In the meantime, I'd like to highlight the talented young people who took the stage on Feb. 10, competing at Montrose's Got Talent. The 15 acts wowed the audience at this annual fundraiser for the Montrose Education Foundation, but despite everyone's skill, there were only five prizes. The top prize went to Ms. Laurel Wilkerson, who not only sang and played her guitar, but sang and played her original song. Well done! Read about her and the other competitors right here.

— Katharhynn from the newsroom.
