KVNF sweats it out — Western Slope public radio station ponders potential federal funding cuts

KVNF, along with other public broadcasting stations, is currently sweating out a potentially sweeping loss of funding. Trump's rescissions-package request came with a 45-day deadline, which falls on Friday.

KVNF General Manager Ashley Krest is preparing for the inevitable.

"We're preparing because we know that we're probably going to lose funding," Krest said. "We just don't know when or how much or for how long, if it's legal, will it be legally challenged, that money, once they try to take it?"
