The statewide mask mandate is over, but masks are still required in Montrose for now: Colorado's mandate to mask up across the state lapsed over the weekend, but Gov. Jared Polis issued a new executive order on Saturday that relaxes restrictions only in level green counties.

Montrose County is still at a level blue, but the nearby counties of Delta and Ouray are at a level green. The state does not mandate that people in these counties wear masks in all settings, however...

Masks at schools, healthcare facilities, personal service establishments (i.e. hair salons), government buildings, jails are still required everywhere and the state encourages everyone to wear masks whenever interacting with people outside their household. Also, businesses are allowed to require customers to wear masks.

Part 2 in series about housing in Montrose:
Last Wednesday, we published the first article in a two-part series about the housing market in Montrose. The first story focused on the lack of inventory in the market and this one focused on the issues with the construction market.

"Supply is constrained, because the whole west, every town like Montrose, every place with a clean environment and good internet is exploding in population," real estate developer Matt Miles said. "There's a secular change now where people decided they have had enough of cities and the urban environment."

Check out the full story here.

The Rockies' new
MVP: A cat stole the show at the bottom of the 8th inning during their second game against the Dodgers at Coors Field in Denver on Friday afternoon.

The cat stayed on for a couple minutes before an employee took the cat, who put up quite a fight, off of the field.

The cat is one of the many feral cats that call Coors Field home. The stadium's employees were planning on releasing the cat somewhere outside of the stadium, but it escaped before that could happen.
