Are you having a bad Monday? At least you're not Facebook. The social media giant appears to be having a worldwide outage — nope; it's not just you. Katharhynn from the newsroom here, filling you in. Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and related apps went down Oct. 4. A configuration error could be to blame. Facebook was working to address the problem as of noon, Mountain Time on Monday, Oct. 4. The news came just after a 60 Minutes interview last night with Frances Haugen, a data analyst and former product manager for the tech giant, who revealed she is the whistleblower behind allegations the company is misleading the public about how it tackles misinformation and hate speech.
Did you see the rodeo? This weekend was packed with events, including the Colorado Pro Rodeo State Finals, right here in Montrose. Montrose County Event Center hosted the competitions at the indoor arena. Congrats to the winners and all who competed. Also this weekend: A march for women's reproductive rights, and a counter demonstration took place Saturday. Everyone peacefully exercised their rights.
