Killer Company's

My blog will allow everyone to know what all the body care companies are doing to us. What I mean by this is that you can learn what is in your body care products and what it does to your body. Is the cheap price or status of having these things worth the risk of ruining your health. I know a product line that does not carry any of the harmful or hazardous ingredients if you are interested comment and I'll email you more information.

Hello Montrose! I was walking past the Fox Theater today and instantly remembered how great of a film "Dune" is, which released in cinemas and HBO Max last week and is currently playing at the Fox.

That's why it was welcome news to see the announcement this week that "Dune: Part Two" will release in October 2023.

Part One was a fantastic cinematic experience. As for Part Two, all we know right now is that they're Dune the dang thing.

I know, I'll see myself out...

Packed Halloweekend: Starting today, local businesses and organizations are hosting planned Halloween events for the Montrose community.

Magic Circle Players is hosting a comedic melodrama of vampire mishaps tomorrow night at Magic Circle Theater and trick or treating on Main Street in Montrose starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Check out a list of events here.

Creating connections: I stopped by Alt Space Coworking in Montrose last week and learned more about what's going on at the space, formerly of Proximity, a coworking space, and it was clear why remote work and coworking spaces have seen increased interest over the past 18 months.

I also spoke with Bonnie and Brian Watson, co-founders of Alt Space Coworking. The Watsons shared what they hope Alt Space can provide for the Western Slope as they aim to help entrepreneurs and the local workforce.

You can read more about the Watsons' venture here.

Mo-Town Knows: Episode 5 of Mo-Town Knows is tonight and I had the honor of speaking with Jeff Keehfuss, broker/owner of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, on the current state of the housing market in Montrose.

It starts at 6 p.m. and you can tune in on Facebook, our website or NABUR.

You can listen to Mo-Town Knows wherever you get your podcasts. Just search "Mo-Town Knows."

Before you go: Montrose High School boys soccer will play against Denver North today at 5:30 p.m. in the first round of the 4A boys soccer state tournament.

You can tune in to watch the livestream here, though an $11 subscription is required to view the game. Otherwise, look out for a recap in the paper.

What are your thoughts on the school board waiving compensation?

A law passed at the state level earlier this year allows school board members to be paid up tot $150 per day no more than five days a week. However, the school board for Montrose County School District voted a few weeks ago not to activate any form of compensation.

What do you think about the decision?

Jessi_Lynn
Alright everyone my names is Jessi I'm only 16yrs old, but don't under estamate me I know a lot about the subjects that matter to me. I like kids, don't have any right now though. I don't want kids until I think I can handle it I want to be able to live my life and have fun, even make stupid mistakes because that is what these years are for. I'm fun, easy to get along with, funny at times yet I also know when to be serious, I like to take risks live on the edge. I love roller coasters, sky diving, bungy jumping, I guess you could call me a thrill seeker. I just try to live my life to the fullest.
