Picture this: Jack Bohm got a little more than he expected when he purchased a vintage camera. Bohm bought the 1920s Kodak, which contained a roll of film. On it? A single shot, possibly taken in the 1950s, of a trio mugging it on a tractor. Katharhynn here, who enjoyed this photo very much. Seeing it put me in mind of a recent Facebook page I joined, which showcases photos of the seaside town in Wales where I went to graduate school. It is a joy to look at those photos and reminisce — although they also show what I missed. It's funny how you can live somewhere and only later discover you only scratched the surface. The cool part about history is you can also make it — who knows who will stumble across your old snapshots (or selfies)? Anyway, here is the photo in question. Thank you, Mr. Bohm!
Do you take low-dose aspirin? If you're doing so to help reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke, sit down and talk to your doctor. Daily aspirin is no longer recommended for that. "It is important to remember that daily aspirin use may help prevent heart disease and stroke in some people, but it can also some harm, especially internal bleeding," Dr. Gbenga Ogedegbe told my colleague Cassie Knust.
Word of the day: Again, the "Words You Should Know to Make You Sound Smart" gives us a fun word. Why settle for calling someone a clown, when you can describe him or her as "hobbish"? It means "like a clown; foolish."
