We all need our neighbors

Keeping up with your yard is hard, especially if you are battling cancer. But for Cathy Patch, volunteers stepped up.

This past weekend, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Colorado Properties' Montrose office brokers, with Green-Way Pro owner Leon Leiba, showed up to help Patch with her yard and field.

Patch's cancer fight has left the former Navy nurse and respiratory therapist without the energy for physically demanding work, as Berkshire Hathaway's news release described it. But Patch's friends were there — they nominated her to receive help through Berkshire's spring clean-up.

Five Berkshire broker associations spent a collective 25 hours helping Patch: Donna Justin, Autumn Barrett, Brian Unrein, Makaya Cervone and Trena Unrein.

Good neighbors are good people! Thank you, Berkshire Hathaway and Green-Way Pro.
