And the dust settles ...

And just like that it's over. Election Day is in the rearview. Some of us are happy with the results, while some of us are not. Either way, we're all pretty exhausted.

Maybe you could use some relaxation? Or maybe you need a good purifying smoke-bath after wading through the ick of politics? Ever hear of 'smudging'?

Thursday evening at 7 p.m., Meditation Spaces Art Gallery & Studio hosts "Ancient Art of Smudging," a workshop and talk, at Montrose Event Center. Meditation Spaces' proprietor Sangdrol (Dawn) Blanchard — who has studied with Tibetan Buddhist masters — describes smudging as the "burning of botanicals, resins, wood and herbs for spiritual and/or health benefits is an  ancient practice used for centuries by many cultures and faiths around the world."

This may be just what the doctor ordered following this election season. For more information on the smudging workshop, see here.

Or, maybe you're still haven't gotten your fill of election coverage? If that's the case, check out montrosepress.com for the latest on the recent election results.

Have a Good One,

With Joint Point, 'Every show is different': Get ready to jam this Friday at Bluecorn

No one ever said being in a band is easy. The amount of talent and coordination it takes to get a group of five people to come together as one to perform hours worth of songs is alway impressive. But, for jam bands like Joint Point, that collaboration has to be next level — because the crew never plays the same song twice.
