And the dust settles ...

It's that time of year again

Weather changes never seem to occur gradually in Montrose, and this week was definitey a reminder of that.
While my family is still enjoying the fall foliage back home, I got to vote Tuesday night as the snow whizzed around me. Yesterday, I felt like I was driving to work in a Christmas movie.
And, my fellow Montrovians, that means it's almost time to dust off and wax up the boards and skis, and I am so ready for it.
By Thanksgiving week, many of the resorts we know and lve will turn on their chairlifts, and the backcountry enthusiasts (who are much braver than me) have been getting after it for awhile already.
Stay tuned for upcoming outdoors sections for ski season preview and continued coverage of winter adventure sports here on the Western Slope.
I can't wait!
Cheers,
Kylea from the newsroom

With Joint Point, 'Every show is different': Get ready to jam this Friday at Bluecorn

No one ever said being in a band is easy. The amount of talent and coordination it takes to get a group of five people to come together as one to perform hours worth of songs is alway impressive. But, for jam bands like Joint Point, that collaboration has to be next level — because the crew never plays the same song twice.
