NEED FOR POLICE ACADEMY: When it comes to putting officers on the street, budgets aren't the only factor. In Montrose, and much of the Western Slope, the turnaround time between when a recruit can complete a certified law enforcement academy can be months long.

STUDENTS SHARE THOUGHTS ON COVID-19: With the school year moved to virtual learning, Montrose County School District students shared how COVID-19 is impacting their lives.

LICENSES REQUIRED AT STATE WILDLIFE AREAS: The state wildlife areas were purchased through hunting and fishing license revenue and, further, were established to provide habitat for wildlife and, secondarily, wildlife-related uses.
After about an hour of discussion April 30, the Colorado Wildlife Commission acted in hopes of returning state wildlife areas to their intended purpose.
